I go for simply, not just for time but I like the simple look, not over done, especially in garland, I've wanted to make garland for my home and gifts-and your colors would be are exactly what I buy and have along with using cotton. I make a similar flower but your size is much better! I plan on getting busy making flowers!! Thank you once again. I appreciate those if you who share free things to make!! Thank you for sharing though, you can never have too many *free* flower patterns! :)
As well, there are a few things wrong with your accusations.
1. Their pattern starts with a magic ring, mine with a chain and join; therefore, creating an open middle where the magic ring gives more of a closed appearance. I am familiar with both starting options and I chose a chain with join for the opening.
2. Our first rounds are similar, however, a ch. 3 w/ 20 dc versus a ch 2 w/ 15 dc also makes a change in appearance, as well as size. Making the flower differ some more.
3. My pattern has no sc round.
4. Having already explained the variation in stitch count and appearance in #2, I feel no need to explain the petal round.

With all this being said, as our flowers have similarities, they are not the same. This is a free pattern, I am not selling it. Along with many flower patterns and any other designs that have basic stitches, there will be many variations that have similarites, yet, a different finished product. Granny squares are great examples.

I hope this address all of your concerns.Ambrosia's Creationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06057374606617460563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4828918581857931948.post-60177742196376382122014-05-17T15:11:11.356-07:002014-05-17T15:11:11.356-07:00These were originally posted on the blog sshhh Im ...These were originally posted on the blog sshhh Im counting years ago! I am now going to get me some cream and sugar, and make a bunch of these. She is doing chemo and wants these to pin on her black or white hats to add a splash of color. ps, I have used the lavender scented yarn before, and I LOVE itAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
